KUALA LUMPUR, 22 May 2025 — Albukhary International University (AIU) hosted a landmark ambassadorial engagement at the Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia yesterday, bringing together more than 19 foreign embassies and high commissions to strengthen international partnerships and promote global access to education.
The event saw active participation from ambassadors, high commissioners, and senior officials representing countries across Asia, Europe, South America, Africa, the Middle East, and Central Asia.
AIU Vice Chancellor and President, Professor Dato’ Ir. Dr. Mohd Saleh Jaafar delivered the speech, highlighting AIU’s mission as a fully funded, non-profit institution dedicated to educating underserved youth from across the world.

Rooted in Alor Setar, Kedah, yet reaching across continents, AIU champions a unique mission that is to make quality education not a privilege of the few but a right for all, especially those who need it most.
AIU currently supports a student population representing over 60 nationalities. All students live and learn on a residential campus in Alor Setar, Kedah, where they receive full scholarships covering tuition, accommodation, and living expenses.
During the event, foreign mission representatives were briefed on AIU’s academic offerings, support systems, and student development initiatives. The session also explored new avenues for cooperation, including student recruitment, talent identification, student support, student exchanges, and cultural activities.
The session concluded with an informal networking luncheon, where university representatives and diplomats exchanged ideas on future collaborations and shared success stories from their respective communities.
