ALOR SETAR, 29 April 2025 – The School of Business and Social Sciences, Albukhary International University (AIU) celebrated the official launch of the Human Resource Management Club – Inspiring Talents on April 24, 2025, further strengthening the university’s commitment to developing career-ready graduates.
The event commenced with a knowledge sharing session titled “Beyond Grades: Skills That Get You Hired,” delivered by Madam Norpisah Mat Isa, Registrar of AIU. Madam Norpisah provided valuable insights on the evolving expectations of the job market, emphasizing the importance of communication skills, emotional intelligence, adaptability, leadership qualities, and a strong work ethic—skills that go beyond academic achievements.
An interactive Q&A session followed, giving students an opportunity to engage directly with the speaker and seek practical advice on career preparation and employability.
The ceremony continued with the official launching of the HRM Club – Inspiring Talents, officiated by Dr. Noorul Hafidzah Zawawi, the Dean of SBSS. In her speech, the Dean highlighted the establishment of the club as a key initiative in closing the gap between academic learning and industry needs, in line with AIU’s core values of Aqidah, Akhlaq, Adab, Amanah, and Amalan.
The Dean also acknowledged the broader contributions made by the Human Resource Management team prior to the club’s establishment, including the development of the Final Exam Guidelines Video, a collaborative effort between the HRM academic team, the Examination Unit, and the DVCA Office. This initiative demonstrated the team’s ongoing commitment to enhancing student academic support and operational excellence.
The establishment of the HRM Club was made possible through the coordination and guidance of the appointed Club Advisor, Madam Aliaa Diyana Zamri, supported by the active participation of student leaders and faculty members. The club aims to serve as a dynamic platform for students to develop leadership skills, industry-relevant competencies, and professional networking experiences.
Looking forward, the HRM Club – Inspiring Talents is set to organize various initiatives focusing on employability skills development, internship preparation, and industry engagement, helping students bridge the critical skill gaps and ensuring they are better equipped for the demands of the workforce.
The successful launch marks another milestone in AIU’s continuous journey to nurture holistic, competent, and socially responsible graduates.
