AIU and Sunway University forge exciting new collaborations for students and faculty
ALOR SETAR, 29 April 2025 – Albukhary International University (AIU) continues to expand its horizons through a recent strategic engagement session with Sunway University’s management team, paving the way for impactful academic collaborations and student development initiatives.
During the vibrant discussion, both institutions explored several promising areas of partnership, all aimed at enriching student experiences and fostering academic excellence. A total of four exciting activities were proposed, signaling the start of a dynamic relationship built on shared values and mutual aspirations.
Among the key highlights was the proposal for a two-week mobility programme focused on social business. This programme will offer students from both AIU and Sunway a hands-on, immersive experience to learn and collaborate on social entrepreneurship initiatives.
In addition, the two universities discussed plans to organise a Student Leadership Camp, designed to nurture leadership skills, global awareness, and social responsibility among students.
Another exciting venture on the horizon is the Joint Webinar Series, focusing on topics of shared academic interest. Some of the themes proposed include social business, the 3ZERO’s philosophy, conflict resolution, and international relations.
Further strengthening the academic bond, both universities also expressed enthusiasm about collaborating on joint research initiatives through a matching grant scheme.
This fruitful session marks the beginning of what promises to be a strong and mutually beneficial partnership between AIU and Sunway University.
