
AIU and NIU Unite for a Borderless Future in Education

ALOR SETAR, 7 February 2025 – Albukhary International University (AIU) took another significant step towards global academic collaboration as it warmly welcomed a distinguished delegation from Nordic International University (NIU), Uzbekistan, on 6 February 2025. The meeting set the stage for future partnerships in research, academic exchange, and innovation.
Led by Professor Dr. Hj. Mohamad Abdullah bin Hemdi, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) of AIU, and Professor Dr. Muhammadsiddik Amonboev, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs of NIU, discussions revolved around student and staff exchange programmes, joint academic seminars, collaborative research initiatives, and shared publications.
AIU reiterated its strong commitment to empowering students and staff with global exposure, highlighting how this collaboration aligns seamlessly with its mission to foster a vibrant, inclusive, and forward-thinking academic ecosystem.
Likewise, NIU emphasized its dedication to enhancing cross-cultural engagement, expanding research collaborations, and elevating educational standards through dynamic global partnerships.
The meeting concluded with both institutions aim to break barriers, create transformative learning experiences, and shape a future of academic excellence without borders.
Prior to this visit, the delegation had engaged during the Malaysia-Uzbekistan Higher Education Forum at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) on 4 February 2025, where they explored avenues for academic collaboration.
Also present were key representatives from AIU, including Madam Norpisah Mat Isa, Registrar, and Dr. Noorul Hafidzah Zawawi, Dean of the School of Business and Social Sciences. Representing NIU was Professor Nuriddin Murodullayev, Vice Rector for Financial Affairs, along with accompanying lecturers Dr. Zainiddin Eshkuvatov from Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) and Dr. Habibulla Ahadkulov from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM).
