AIU Celebrates Staff at Annual Dinner 2023
ALOR SETAR, 6 March 2024 – Albukhary International University (AIU) hosted its highly anticipated Annual Dinner 2023 on March 4th, 2024, uniting staff members from the university, AIU International School, and Albukhary Dialysis Centre for an evening of camaraderie and celebration. The gathering, convened at the Convocation Hall, stood as a momentous occasion for the institution, dedicated to recognizing the accomplishments of its staff throughout the year 2023.
The customized photo booth prepared by the secretariat enticed early arrivals to capture their most charming poses, commemorating the festive occasion in their elegant-themed attire.
With a Masquerade Nite theme, the event commenced with speeches delivered by Ms. Fadhilah Syahirah Ismail, Acting Principal of AIU International School, Sr. Wei Kim Lan, Senior Staff Nurse of Albukhary Dialysis Centre, and Emeritus Prof. Dato’ Dr. Abd. Aziz Tajuddin, Vice Chancellor and President of AIU.
One of the highlights of the evening was the fascinating performances by staff. The performances captivated the audience, cultivating feelings of joy and companionship among those in attendance. Moreover, there were lucky draws throughout the evening, along with a King and Queen of the Night quest.
The evening was not solely about food and entertainment but also about honouring educators who have demonstrated exceptional teaching practices and contributed to cultivating a dynamic, supportive, and intellectually stimulating learning environment for AIU students. The Teaching Excellence Award 2023 was bestowed upon Mr. Mohamad Mokhlis Ahmad Fuad, lecturer, and Head of the Bachelor of Finance (Islamic Finance) Programme from the School of Business and Social Sciences (SBSS). Among the other top three finalists was Mr. Osaid N.A. Abdaljawwad from SBSS, Ms. Nur Faridatul Jamalia Radzali from the School of Education and Human Sciences (SEHS), and Mdm. Nurul Hamidah Mohd Hamdi from the Language Centre.
Reflecting on the success of the event, Emeritus Prof. Dato’ Dr. Abd. Aziz expressed his gratitude to all who contributed to making the Annual Dinner a memorable occasion. He commended the dedication and passion of the AIU community, noting that their collective efforts were instrumental in achieving the university’s mission.
