SCI AIU Visits Cybersecurity Malaysia and the EC-Council to Bridge Industry-ready Skills Gap
ALOR SETAR, 5 March 2024 – A group of students and staff from the School of Computing and Informatics (SCI), Albukhary International University (AIU) embarked on an educational excursion on March 1st, 2024, to visit two renowned cyber security entities, CyberSecurity Malaysia and EC-Council in Kuala Lumpur.
Led by the SCI Dean, Associate Professor Dr. Basheer Riskhan, the excursion was arranged to familiarize students and staff with the latest advancements in cybersecurity while also fostering strong connections with both esteemed organizations.
Both organizations warmly welcomed the delegation. During the visit, the group was introduced to various technologies and skill sets essential for graduates in the field by CyberSecurity Malaysia. Additionally, they were briefed on cybersecurity professional certifications that could enhance students’ value upon graduation by the EC-Council.
Associate Professor Dr. Basheer commented that the visit to CyberSecurity Malaysia and EC-Council accomplished its intended objectives. He expressed optimism about potential collaborative programmes with both organizations for the benefit of AIU students.
