Celebrating Success: AIU Students Honored for Runner-Up Achievement in TikTok Challenge

In a remarkable achievement, two talented Albukhary International University (AIU) students, Taqiyya Alka Haqiqy and Puan Nazhira Maharani, were announced as the runner-up in a video creative competition, or TikTok Challenge, held on International Anti-Corruption Day 2023 (IACD 2023). The award ceremony took place at the Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation, Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, on December 9, 2023.
The competition, organized by the Malaysian Association of Private Colleges and Universities (MAPCU) in collaboration with Asia Pacific University (APU), aimed at uniting the world against corruption. It welcomed participants from all over the globe, including international and Malaysian students studying at Private Higher Education Institutions (PHEIs) in Malaysia.
The contest was held from November 1st to December 2nd, providing ample time for creative submissions addressing the theme of “Uniting the World Against Corruption.” The winners were announced during the award ceremony, with the first prize of RM 1000 awarded to Saito University College, the second prize of RM 750 going to Albukhary International University (AIU), and the third prize of RM 500 being secured by Asia Pacific University.
Taqiyya and Nazhira’s award-winning video, titled “Breaking the Chains of Corruption,” had managed to captivate the judges and audience with its powerful message and creative execution. The concise 59-second video conveyed the urgent need to address corruption and emphasized the collective responsibility to fight against it.
When asked about their motivation to join the contest, both Taqiyya and Nazhira expressed their deep concern for the detrimental impact of corruption and their determination to raise awareness as well as inspire change through their creative skills.
